Premiere counseling services for students
College Counseling
Over the course of 28 years, Phil Clinton has established an extensive network and database of excellent colleges and universities. Working in close consultation with the student and the student’s family, Phil will identify a student’s strengths, interests, and particular needs in order to construct a workable college inquiry and application list.
After constructing the inquiry and application list, Phil works with students to:
· Advise student regarding course selection and extracurricular activities
· Construct a timeline for applications
· Review and revise the student’s CV
· Brainstorm and edit application essays
· Advise student regarding various application procedures (ED, Early Action, Regular Decision, etc)
· Coach the student on interview process
· Contact Phil for your student's individual needs
During this process, the student and counselor will be in regular contact through phone, email, Skype or other means. Parents are welcome to contact Phil at any point in the process.
School Counseling
Working from a long career in independent (private) and international schools, Phil consults with students and their parents who are seeking challenging pre-college (grades 9-12) programs either in the USA or internationally. Phil has had experience with both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) and the Advanced Placement (AP) programs. Since 2003, Phil has participated in numerous school accreditation protocols and is able to assess the many options that students may face in making this important educational decision.
Similar to the college/university counseling option, Phil will work with students and parents to determine their strengths, interests, and options. He will be in regular contact with the student and parents via phone, email, Skype or other means.
